The original source was by Simon Kirby <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>. I have by this time completely rewritten the original source, and added many additional tests to help catch borderline memory. I also rewrote the original tests (which catch mainly memory bits which are stuck permanently high or low) so that they run approximately an order of magnitude faster. The package is already in the package 'sysutils'. This is IMHO a bad thing, because that is a collection of unrelated utilities, and the presence of memtester is not obvious from its name. Consequently, memtester will conflict with sysutils. I already discussed this with the maintainer of sysutils ( Lonnie Sauter <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>). The package can already downloaded here: deb http://masqmail.cx/debian woody main I am not DD yet, but applied ~3 months ago, and I am just waiting for DAM approval and account creation.
