Hi! As an orienteer, I would love to see this in Debian, so just a note to encourage it. :-)
Since there is some controversy as to the description, may I suggest something like (I don't think OCAD needs explaining, every possible user of this program would know what it is): OpenOrienteering Mapper is a mapmaking program for the sport of orienteering, where athletes use detailed maps to find their way through a course that is not known to them before the start of a race. This program can be used to produce maps for classical orienteering, MTBO and radio orienteering races. It has drawing and editing tools, includes symbol sets for the norms ISOM 2000 (forest) and ISSOM 2007 (sprint), and features import and export of OCAD files.
