We have "truncate" in the Debian GNU coreutils package: https://packages.debian.org/unstable/coreutils And the FreeBSD truncate syntax is not that different: https://www.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?query=truncate So I doubt this program really needs Debian packaging. -- Best wishes, Bob
