Hey, I'm not active in Fedora / Red Hat anymore (used to be at Red Hat; moved to Google seven years ago). But know people there so I can try to get it packaged.
One thing I like about git.mk is simplicity of deployment. Just copy once a year and be happy... I hope you can keep that simplicity. In particular, hopefully wouldn't require a new dependency.
