You might want to think about perhaps renaming it to 'status-rebuild', 'dpkg-rebuild' sounds a bit to generic too me. Furthermore, did you talk with the dpkg about using the dpkg-namespace? Perhaps they'd like to integrate that script into dpkg proper, once it's proved to work. (I cc'ed debian-dpkg) cheers, Michael
