Thank you for picking this up. I don't think I'll have much to contribute to the package in the future. Feel free to take full ownership of it. Just a note: the Vcs- fields in debian/control point to a repository in the debian team that not yet exist and the discussion on the dbus MR seems to suggest that the repository for the dbus-broker package should live in the utopia-team group anyway.
