It takes a pragmatic answer by identifying a standard character set for each orthography used by a language. The database that currently contains information for over 640+ languages is a work in progress, designed to grow. This package is a new dependency for the gftools package. I intent to maintain this package under the umbrella of the Debian Python Team.
