>From a technical perspective there is no reason to stay on the git snapshot version. Salsa repo https://salsa.debian.org/emacsen-team/flycheck is already updated to latest flycheck release 32. But I did not manage to find a sponsor to upload it. That's one part of the problem. Another part of it: people ignore the salsa repo and prefer to stick to git snapshot (for whatever reason), see recent versions 32~git.20200527.9c435db3-3 and 32~git.20200527.9c435db3-4.
