prometheus-diskspin-exporter is a zero-dependency Python program that
will export the power state of the SATA disks found on the host and
expose them to an HTTP endpoint for consumption by Prometheus.
I am using this service to monitor disks spin on custom NASes running
Debian in order to reduce noise and power consumption. The only
dependency is the Python standard library itself as the systemd service
uses the built-in WSGI server in Python to serve the web endpoint.
While I am the upstream maintainer of this software, I plan to maintain
it under the Debian Python Team in order to ease transitions,
autopkgtests, etc..
