xtermcontrol is more complete when it comes to colors and advaced settings, and it can report the current status of an xterm. the latter is very important because you can write these settings into a temporary file or an environment variable and restore them later. without it it's not very usefull for my purposes (changing xterm appearance depending on what is going on inside) cu robert -- Robert Lemmen http://www.semistable.com
