The package description is: Ever wanted cute little penguins walking along the tops of your windows? Ever wanted to send an army of cute little penguins to invade the screen of someone else on your network? Probably not, but why not try this program out anyway, it's cool! The program is kind of cool, so I'll keep it if no one else want to take it. Upstream is dormant, but reachable. The main bug in the package is that it can't handle desktop-environments very well: the penguins destroy icons on the desktop. This could probably be fixed by someone who knows about gnome/kde stuff. Furthermore, there are some smaller bugs that are easily fixed. This is a nice package for a prospective maintainer to take. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.13-rc6 Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) --------------------------------------- Received: (at 334246-close) by bugs.debian.org; 22 Oct 2005 15:38:25 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat Oct 22 08:38:25 2005 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from katie by spohr.debian.org with local (Exim 3.36 1 (Debian)) id 1ETLLw-0004dS-00; Sat, 22 Oct 2005 08:32:12 -0700 From: Jose Carlos Medeiros <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Katie: $Revision: 1.56 $ Subject: Bug#334246: fixed in xpenguins 2.2-3 Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sender: Archive Administrator <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Sat, 22 Oct 2005 08:32:12 -0700 Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Level: X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-6.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_00,HAS_BUG_NUMBER autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 X-CrossAssassin-Score: 3 Source: xpenguins Source-Version: 2.2-3 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of xpenguins, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive: xpenguins_2.2-3.diff.gz to pool/main/x/xpenguins/xpenguins_2.2-3.diff.gz xpenguins_2.2-3.dsc to pool/main/x/xpenguins/xpenguins_2.2-3.dsc xpenguins_2.2-3_i386.deb to pool/main/x/xpenguins/xpenguins_2.2-3_i386.deb A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached.
