Just a note that this program might not be necessary - despite appearances within gpe-conf, gpe-appmgr is not installed by Familiar 0.84, GPE 2.7 with no ill effects apparent. Will check further but if it turns out to be as it looks now, I'll simply close this ITP as unnecessary.
