I request an adopter for the ddccontrol package. Upstream lost interest some time ago and for a long time I have entertained the notion of taking over upstream mainenance. However, it has become apparent that I lack sufficient time and interest (I use ddccontrol much less now than I did in the past). The package is currently bug free and is very easy to maintain. Since upstream is dead, or the project is feature complete, depending on your perspective, prospective maintainers should consider taking over upstream maintenance as well. I am an admin on the sourceforge project and can provide admin access to someone truly interested in taking over. I will also remain available to answer questions regarding the package. Should someone not step forward by the time Lenny is released, I will simply orphan the package. Please check the related bug for ddccontrol-db, which is a part of ddccontrol upstream. The package description is: DDCcontrol is a tool used to control monitor parameters, like brightness and contrast, without using the OSD (On Screen Display) and the buttons in front of the monitor.
