Indeed. So the state of Smolt in Debian is this: I picked this package up on the road to lenny and--knowing that any work would not be a part of that release--I put it on low priority and concentrated on other things. Technically, I have working packages, but the "difficult" work is with getting a decent integration into the Debian system, particularly with respect to integrating Smolt into the graphical desktop environments and making it part of a default graphical installation - the adoption by other distributions has opened doors there, at least for an initial discussion to not be shot down on grounds of lack of other users. So I guess it would certainly help to get some Ubuntu people with leverage on board soon - it would seem a shame to duplicate effort there. Does anyone know if they are remotely interested in this?
