Hello,

I was in contact with Frank S. Thomas <f...@debian.org> last year, who was
willing to sponsor this package (I'm not a DD). As it happened, we were
both too busy otherwise and didn't get beyond some preparations.

I am still interested to make SciDAVis an official Debian package.
As opposed to my situation last year, I can afford putting some time
into the project now.

Maybe we should take the opportunity and restart it?

Best regards,
Burkhard Bunk.

Hello,

what is the current status of this ITP? Is it still active? I would
suggest taking the packages from Burkhard Bunk [1] who has created
Debian packages for Etch and Lenny to be provided on the upstream
website [2]. I will CC him this mail, maybe someone can sponsor his
packages in case he is not a Debian developer himself.
