We obviously have extreme problems with master's load. My archive scripts which used to take about 1.5 or 2 hours to run a few months ago now take 10 hours or more. I think the mailing lists are the main culprits here. The addition of the real time black hole stuff was the proverbial straw. Hopefully a new listserver will be christened very soon.
I don't think the first level mirrors are so much of a problem. So that we don't waste effort, let's first move the lists off master and then see if the machine's performance becomes more reasonable.
