But it causes mojibake by charset mismatch so we cannot read it without changing to correct charset. (mojibake: http://www.debian.or.jp/~kubota/mojibake/) For example, Japanese page must be in iso-2022-jp charset but it says that contents with "UTF-8". (and Its Japanease pages content in EUC-JP charset. for histrical reason, three major charset are used in Japan. Many UNIX releated things are in EUC-JP (Windows and Macintosh are Shift-JIS), but Debian's Japanease Lang web page is in iso-2022-jp charset. SO, EUC-JP contents must be changed to iso-2022-jp for web pages.) Could you check it, please? -- Regards, Hideki Yamane mailto:henrich @ samba.gr.jp/iijmio-mail.jp --------------------------------------- Received: (at 227273-done) by bugs.debian.org; 30 Jan 2004 01:25:53 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Jan 29 17:25:53 2004 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from sorgfalt.net (mail.sorgfalt.net) [217.160.169.191] by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1AmNPt-0007qt-00; Thu, 29 Jan 2004 17:25:53 -0800 Received: from p508391c2.dip.t-dialin.net ([80.131.145.194] helo=djpig.djpig.de) by mail.sorgfalt.net with asmtp (Cipher TLSv1:DES-CBC3-SHA:168) (Exim 3.35 (Sorgfalt)) id 1AmNPp-0005Bk-00; Fri, 30 Jan 2004 02:25:49 +0100 Received: from djpig by djpig.djpig.de with local (Exim 3.35 #1 (Debian)) id 1AmNPh-0005xo-00; Fri, 30 Jan 2004 02:25:41 +0100 Date: Fri, 30 Jan 2004 02:25:41 +0100 From: Frank Lichtenheld <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: Tomohiro KUBOTA <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Bug#227273: www.debian.org: Japanese DDTP files are provided with EUC-JP endoding.
