Your question is more appropriate for debian-user, but anyway: Short answer: Use "i386". The ia64 architecture is something completely different and incompatible with your notebook. You mean amd64, not ia64 - amd64 is the version for 64-bit AMD and Intel processors. For notebooks, AFAIK running a 64-bit OS does not currently have any advantages. Most of this information can also be found on the Debian web pages! :) Cheers, Richard -- __ _ |_) /| Richard Atterer | GnuPG key: 888354F7 | \/¯| http://atterer.net | 08A9 7B7D 3D13 3EF2 3D25 D157 79E6 F6DC 8883 54F7 ¯ '` ¯ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
