Hello William, I have the feeling that you are using Windows as your operating system. Debian is a distribution of the GNU/Linux operating system and also includes a lot of applications among which is also Sylpheed. Unfortunately for you the Sylpheed version available in Debian will not run on any other platform, unless maybe some Debian derivatives. Have you tried to find modules on the sylpheed web page http://sylpheed.sraoss.jp/en/ ? You might also want to try the Claws Mail reader (http://www.claws-mail.org/), which has many things in common with Sylpheed. If you are interested in trying out Debian you can download a live CD image or an image for installing.
