package: wiki.debian.org
severity: wishlist

When you trigger a search at wiki.debian.org, by default, it searches for page's titles (URLs). This is only useful for English speakers, as the base pages are in English, and the translated pages have to follow the scheme concerning their URL address within the wiki

base page: PackageManagement
translated page: es/PackageManagement (for spanish)

Therefore, if I search for "gestión de paquetes" (the direct translation), it shows nothing, as it is a good practice to keep the original URL name (plus language code). Changing the default behaviour would be useful for wiki users that don't speak English.

I've noticed that search by text is still a bit weak, but little by little I guess it can be fixed :).

Thanks, Omar

Any reasonable future wiki engine will not have this problem.
Closing for now, as this problem should go away when the wiki
migration gets done.
