Package: xserver-xorg-core
Version: 1.7.7-8

On my IBM ThinkPad T41 laptop, the mouse is sporadically grabbed. I
usually use a Logitech USB mouse. The graphics card is a "ATI Radeon
RV250"

When it happens, dmesg says nothing interesting. Nor does anything
appear in syslog or messages.

The bug appears to be the same as:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-
server/+bug/41301/+index?comments=all

Turning off acpi as suggested by comment #16 on that page appears
to help the situation for me, but I was still able to reproduce the
problem.

I reproduced this on older versions of Xorg and linux (kernel), so it's
not totally new.

I can't cause the problem to occur, but I'm happy to try stuff you
suggest when it does.
