That package was already installed, but it seems not to work for this issue;
the only thing that works is connecting a REAL monitor.
The person I meaned is a friend of mine, he's blind and maybe that explains
why he wasn't using a monitor but instead a braille-display running brltty.
Now he connected a freshly bought mon, Xorg does work again as by the past,
he can now switch from Gnome to console and viceversa.
