It would certainly make sense, the question is whether users would want that. One reason to use the experimental version of nouveau is that you want or need a newer kernel than in squeeze, and this does not necessarily mean that you want a newer X server as well. However, as soon as libdrm 2.4.23 gets released (which should happen by the end of year, along with xserver-xorg-video-intel 2.14), I will prepare a new nouveau snapshot, and current git already requires X server 1.8 or later. > I have verified that the result is installable and > works nicely on i386.
