Using nv driver it's impossible to set monitor native 1600x1200
resolution while proprietary nvidia driver has no trouble to set
it. Most relevant line from the Xorg.log:
(II) NV(0): Mode "1600x1200" is larger than BIOS programmed panel sizeof 1280 x
1024. Removing.
Actual monitor connected is ViewSonic VP201b with 1600x1200 native resolution.
