Package: libgl1-mesa-glx
Version: 7.7.1-4
Severity: normal

Hello,

I recently compiled lightspark (open source Flash alternative) successfully and
installed it. I am not able to play any swf file. It always crashes with the
above error. The lightspark people do not think that the problem lies in
lightspark itself. However, I m not sure whether the libgl1-mesa-glx package is
the
"culprit".
I tried the settings:
LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose; export LIBGL_DEBUG
LIBGL_ALWAYS_INDIRECT=1; export LIBGL_ALWAYS_INDIRECT
The consequence is that not only the client app crashes, but the whole session
(returning to the gdm loop)

Some hints in order to provide you with more details would be welcome,

Thanks for your time and regards,

Dimitri

| Revert "Fix image_matches_texture_obj() MaxLevel check"
|
|     This reverts commit a9ee95651131e27d5acf3d10909b5b7e5c8d3e92.
| It was based on a failure to understand how ther driver allocates
| memory, and causes a regression with Celestia.
|
| Set MaxLevel to dstLevel before allocating new mipmap level.
|
| The radeon driver will fail to allocate space for a new level that
| is outside of BaseLevel..MaxLevel. Set MaxLevel before allocating.

So fixed in our 7.9/7.10 packages, I'm closing this bug report since
it matches the title. If you're interested in getting the indirect
rendering issue tracked, please file a new bug, and check what happens
with 7.10, available in sid.
