--- Begin Message ---Package: xserver-xorg-video-all Severity: wishlist It seems to me that the common cases in driver support where a change of driver is needed are changes between different relatively new systems and a change from an old system to a new system. I would like to have a package with a name such as xserver-xorg-video-recent which would drag in all the drivers for PCIe cards and other video hardware that has been released relatively recently. There is no realistic possibility that I will be installing a Tseng, S3, or Trident video card in one of my 64bit systems. But it is quite likely that I will use a different modern video card at some time. I am not suggesting removing xserver-xorg-video-all, merely adding a new package for the convenience of users with modern hardware.

I saw no objection to that reasoning. Closing this bug accordingly. KiBi.signature.asc
