How do I make the X server zappable? Doing dpkg-reconfigure keyboard-configuration as indicated by [1], did not help, nor did
# cat xorg.conf Section "ServerFlags" Option "DontZap" "off" EndSection # This is a newly installed kfreebsd i386 system: # cat debian_version 6.0.2 # /// For the record, makeing X start up with a black root window makes it harder to check if it is on, I cannot even see the mouse moving. Yes, I know I can do # DISPLAY=:0.0 xloadimage -default BTW, the man page for xloadimage(1x) is not updated, under "-default", xsetroot is not the as xloadimage -default any longer.
