You could try running the same things on another machine with a similar setup, but with non-vbox drivers. Alternatively, you could try running Xorg under valgrind and see whether leaks are happening. You're going to need patience, since things will be dog-slow. Maybe better to check whether there are already bug reports against virtualbox talking about memory leaks. Mraw, KiBi.
