Are the instructions unclear? They are clear. But I expected the installation to use the already known information about my 'type 5' keyboard. OTOH: I just tested RC3 of D-I and again installed X manually afterwards the same way. The problem does not show any more, this bug - if any - seems to be fixed, so the report can be closed.
