Like most other programs that write utmp/wtmp entries, xterm does so via
libutempter, changing the latter to use libwtmpdb would be both
necessary and sufficient to adjust xterm's behavior.
Whether terminal emulator sessions should be recorded in utmp/wtmp at
all is debatable, but at least some of xterm's users probably like it
that way.
