FWIW, since I was doing QA uploads of freefont and sharefont anyway to sort out /usr/doc, I moved their fonts to /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Type1. Given the fonts.scale policy, it simplifies both packages drastically. -- Colin Watson [EMAIL PROTECTED]
