I am having difficulties with XFree 4.1.0-5 (also -3) in Woody. Specifically, if I switch to a virtual terminal and then switch back to X, I get a black screen. The only way I seem to be able to resolve this is to manually kill and restart X from the console.
I have never had this problem with Xfree 3.3.6 or 4.0.1 The system has a Trident Cyber 9525DVD (Laptop) video card. The system is all Woody (with the exception of KDE 2.2 which really has nothing to do with this) I am running a 2.4.9 kernel, although I had the same problem with a 2.4.4 kernel Any ideas as to what might be wrong?
