gcc 3.2 supports a new kind of relocation, which facilitates
instruction scheduling. The X ELF module loader doesn't know about it,
and therefore fails to load any module.

There's a patch mentioned at

but it has at least one obvious bug. I will whether I find something
upstream or at Ret Hat, or write something myself.
