hi, i noticed that, but on my debian unstable it reported unresolved referencies, i solved this about a 6 month ago by special order of lib directories in '/etc/ld.so.conf' file according to some maillist posting which stated st like that:
- - - - my /etc/ld.so.conf - - - - # this needs to be here just because of some libtool problems, though it is # a default directory for library searches # I encoutered problems with eclipse and libXrenderCreateAnimCursor C function # from libxrender1 deb package, seems like the link from # /usr/X11R6/lib/libXrender.la -> /lib/libXrender.la is not working well # if libXrender is 1st found here, everythink is ok, dynamic loader is not # confused, in any other case, undefined symbols are reported /usr/lib # let this be the second (see comment above) /usr/X11R6/lib /usr/lib/3dnow/atlas /usr/lib/atlas/3dnow /usr/lib/3dnow /usr/local/lib # because of firebird 1.5 -- it is an setuid prog, # in which case $LD_LIBRARY_PATH is ignored #/usr/local/gcc323/lib # kernel 2.6 #/usr/local/linux-2.6-utils/lib - - - - anyway, thanks :) On Mon, May 01, 2006 at 05:48:21AM -0700, Debian Bug Tracking System wrote: > This is an automatic notification regarding your Bug report > #306416: libxcursor1: undefined symbol: XRenderCreateAnimCursor, > which was filed against the libxcursor1 package. > > It has been closed by one of the developers, namely > Andreas Metzler <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>. > > Their explanation is attached below.
