Are you planning to split the binary package only or also the source?
I hadn't thought of that, but as we spoke on #debian-x, we could use one
big source which then would generate binary bundles, with the exception
of xauth, xinit, xfs and xsm which use their own source packages?
Regarding what Fedora does, I don't see why we would have to split into
so many packages. Moving xauth in its own package seems important.
Splitting all tiny client from server utilities too. However, for
instance, I don't see why appres/editres/listres/viewres would need to
be in their own xbase-resutils, they could stay with xrdb or something
like that. Also the difference between xfonts-utils and xfs programs
does not look easy to understand.
Yes, here is the latest list (updated when something new comes up):

general consensus on #debian-x seemed to be that this looks pretty good
now. There are however some packages which are not in any of the new bundles.
Also, renaming xfonts-utils and xutils-dev was thought as too riski,
since there are too many reverse deps on them.
Further comments welcome :)
