Package: xbacklight Version: 1.1-1 Severity: important First of all: It does something! Great work! Unfortunately it's not really ready to use on my system yet. Especially I don't really know which package this bugreport really applies to, so please forward it to whatever package you think to be more appropriate.
Hardware: Intel Corporation Mobile 915GM/GMS/910GML Express Graphics Controller driven by i810 (xserver-xorg-video-intel). Observation: When running xbacklight --set somevalue it flickers a bit and seems to set a random brightness where setting to some value always results in the same brightness. 100% looks like 50%, 98% looks like 100%, 50% looks like 100% again with other values in between. I have not further investigated this, but can do so if needed.
