Yes the patch was pending for the next upload of Xserver 1.5.3, but Xserver 1.5.99.901 has been released in the meantime, so the patch has never actually been uploaded. And it's not in our 1.5.99.90x packages currently in experimental. Did you try these latest packages yet?
