*Job Description:*

* *

   - *For the consulting piece, HR and Payroll is going to be most
   important, with some knowledge of financials. Consultant tasks will be*
   - *The first task will be to analyze the work flows and set up
   organizational business units that can be tied to their employee performance
   management system. *
   - *One of the things that need to be done is to tie in position control
   with budgeting, the budgeting is now done outside JD Edwards, by an
   application developed by Dave Biggs and his team. *
   - *What they have done to make things work is the pull all the data out
   of JDE into a central SQL Server repository, and from there on they develop
   the reporting and use the data for other applications such as active
   directory and their Kronos timekeeping system. *
   - *They are using OPTIO for reporting, might replace this with Crystal. *
   - *They are trying to determine if it makes more sense to buy the JD
   Edwards additional module that does the reporting or keep the data in the
   repository (according to Karin she thinks it may be better from a data
   perspective to buy have all the data in JD Edwards and not in the
   repository, but that a cost benefit analysis will help with the decision)
   *
   - *When they implemented JD Edwards in 2000/2001 they did not do any
   workflow analysis or process engineering but tried to make the system do
   what they were doing previously, which is part of the reason the
   organizational BU's were never properly set up. *
   - *They had 2100 line items of customization and they have been able to
   get this down to 600 - which are the ones actually being used.*
   - *They also had almost a 1,000 reports because each time a parameter
   changed they would make that a new report, so there were a ton of
   duplicated, and they have been cleaning this up. *

* *

*Requirements:*

* *

   - *10 years experience with JD Edwards *
   - *Experience integrating the JD Edwards HR/Payroll modules with the
   Financials Suite *
   - *Experience with JD Edwards 8.10 and 8.12*
   - *Experience with workflow and business processes.*
