Hi, just wanted to add that this also breaks suspend to ram here (from KDE4 desktop) because the suspend switches to VT mode before suspending and that crashes the X server. Don't have a log at hand unfortunately, but its definetly caused by the last upgrade from Xorg 7.3 to 7.4 (and the related intel driver update from 2.3.2 to 2.7.0), I downgraded just the xserver-xorg packages and the problem is gone.
