Package: xserver-xorg-video-intel Version: 2:2.9.0-1 Severity: normal
I have at least the console back so I investigated in more detail. I trusted too much in apt-file. There is some problem with this library, it has probably moved to a different package recently: $ ldd /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/intel_drv.so linux-gate.so.1 => (0xb7792000) libm.so.6 => /lib/i686/cmov/libm.so.6 (0xb76cd000) libdrm.so.2 => /usr/lib/libdrm.so.2 (0xb76c4000) libdrm_intel.so.1 => /usr/lib/libdrm_intel.so.1 (0xb76ba000) libpciaccess.so.0 => /usr/lib/libpciaccess.so.0 (0xb76b4000) libc.so.6 => /lib/i686/cmov/libc.so.6 (0xb7555000) /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0xb7793000) librt.so.1 => /lib/i686/cmov/librt.so.1 (0xb754c000) libpthread-stubs.so.0 => not found libpthread.so.0 => /lib/i686/cmov/libpthread.so.0 (0xb7532000) $ dpkg -S libpthread-stubs.so.0 dpkg: *libpthread-stubs.so.0* not found. $ apt-file search libpthread-stubs.so.0 libpthread-stubs0: /lib/libpthread-stubs.so.0 libpthread-stubs0: /lib/libpthread-stubs.so.0.0.0 $ dpkg -l libpthread-stubs0 Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold | Status=Not/Inst/Cfg-files/Unpacked/Failed-cfg/Half-inst/trig-aWait/Trig-pend |/ Err?=(none)/Hold/Reinst-required/X=both-problems (Status,Err: uppercase=bad) ||/ Name Version Description +++-==========================-==========================-==================================================================== ii libpthread-stubs0 0.1-2 pthread stubs not provided by native libc $ dpkg -L libpthread-stubs0 /. /usr /usr/share /usr/share/doc /usr/share/doc/libpthread-stubs0 /usr/share/doc/libpthread-stubs0/README /usr/share/doc/libpthread-stubs0/copyright /usr/share/doc/libpthread-stubs0/changelog.Debian.gz -- Package-specific info: /var/lib/x11/X.roster does not exist. /var/lib/x11/X.md5sum does not exist.
