severity 522635 important found 522635 1:1.3.2-4 thanks Hi!
I wonder, is there someone actually reading this bugreport? It's been ages since it got reported and I know from several people that are facing the same issue, too, so it's not a single-person's problem... * Jan De Luyck <bugs_deb...@kcore.org> [2009-04-05 14:58:32 CEST]: > After doing an upgrade from X, kbd 1.2.0-1+1.2.1 to this version, I'm no > longer able to type characters like |, @, \ The exactly same problem here - though only for some applications like firefox and pidgin. In other applications like gvim and rxvt-unicode the AltGr keybindings totally work. > This is on an Acer TM291, with a spanish keyboard. For me it was keycode 0x86 (134), but this workaround doesn't seem to work anymore, thus I'm raising the severity of the bugreport. > Keyboard section reads: > Section "InputDevice" > Identifier "Generic Keyboard" > Driver "kbd" > Option "CoreKeyboard" > Option "XkbRules" "xorg" > Option "XkbModel" "pc105" > Option "XkbLayout" "es" > EndSection This is the section from over here: #v+ Section "InputDevice" Identifier "Generic Keyboard" Driver "kbd" Option "CoreKeyboard" Option "XkbRules" "xorg" Option "XkbModel" "pc105" Option "XkbLayout" "de" Option "XkbVariant" "nodeadkeys" Option "XkbOptions" "lv3:rwin_switch" EndSection #v- If there is *anything* we could help to track down this issue like debugging or testing, or if you actually do need further informations, pretty please let us know. Don't let the bugreport sit around and grow dust like that, I doubt that this issue will magically go away.
