No change. Neither does anything change when I remove the synaptics-related stanza from xorg.conf completely. It has become really hard to follow the changes of X.org configuration methods lately. I am completely lost whether X is currently not configured at all, via a monolithic xorg.conf, via xorg.conf.d, via XML .fdi files somewhere or via udev rules.
