Once that setting was enabled, lightdm-gtk-greeter does support ayatana
indicators and the ayatana-indicator-power battery icon displays normally.
It may be worth updating the old wiki transition page to indicate that it is
indeed supported now!

I have added the dbus fix to the comment in the wiki page as a minimal edit.
(I'm not clear as to what is the current status of the patch.
Any further wiki updates best left to someone who actually uses ayatana)
