Hi. Since I wanted to have translated facet and tag descriptions for packages.debian.org I wrote a small program that transforms the debtags vocabulary to a .pot file. You can find it here: http://git.debian.org/?p=webwml/packages.git;a=blob_plain;f=bin/debtags-xgettext;hb=HEAD
The generated .pot file can be seen here: http://git.debian.org/?p=webwml/packages.git;a=blob_plain;f=po/debtags.pot;hb=HEAD Note that I separate the short and long description into two msgids since the short description is much more important (i.e. visible) and also often way easier to translate. I will collect translations for that. If you want to include this work somehow in the debtags repository and/or package, let me know.
