>Battle Creek Michigan needs a new mail admin, I hear :D
They might want to hire one of the three spammers that have now sent spam
to the E-mail address that I used when posting in the Battle Creek guest
book. They can't be the brightest spammers in the world to be sending to
people who are speaking out again ORBZ getting shut down!
>So Scott, if that code had a virus, how come my Declude didn't catch it?
Try taking a look at the E-mail in your mail client. You'll see that there
is no link to any files. The E-mail was sent as plain text, so what ended
up in the E-mail was the same as what sits in your \IMail\spool\virus
directory (an encoded file that is safe unless it goes through MIME decoding).
If a virus was to take advantage of this situation, it would need to
instruct the user to cut and paste the relevant section of the E-mail into
Notepad, save it, run it through a MIME decoder (got one of those handy?)
and then run the file that is created. That kind of social engineering
ain't gonna be easy.
