Sparklist was sold to Lyris in early August. The IPs have changed to the Lyris ones.  Sparklist always had excellent procedures in place to make sure they weren't being used by any opt-out mailers.  They actually ran all new subscriber lists through filters to see if they matched up with any commercially available CDs of email addresses (that would indicate the senders were spammers).  Unfortunately, their lists were hacked/stolen in early August:

Subject: [Declude.JunkMail] SPARKList ?

Hi;
Problem!

the Sparklist appears to be used by a large number of organizations out there to send their newsletter.

It is almost impossible to WHITELIST a newsletter since the address changes daily.  Look at this which is the eNewsletter by Cato Institute.  The Nation also uses the same list and it is the same situation:

This address is for today..

it used to be...

It seems like in the absence of a wildcard we have to WhiteList the entire sparklist.com or add a negative weight to it.

Any other ideas?
