Great. Is there any pricing for 'backup' versions of Declude for 'hot-spare' systems. I know it's pretty much impossible to monitor but both copies would never be in use at the same time. We thought about just renaming the backup server if the primary went down but that seems like it could have some unforseen consequences.
Problem is, Imail/Declude JM Pro, Virus Pro, HiJack/Win2k Server/Sniffer/Etc, cost more than the hardware.
Have you given thought as to how the E-mail would be stored?
For example, if you have a backup server that has an identical installation of IMail (minus the stored E-mail), and you switch to it, then users won't be able to download any E-mail that had been stored. Nor will they be able to access any of the "interim" E-mail when the original server comes back online.
If only one of the servers will be live at a time, the backup server would count as a backup copy of Declude, and wouldn't need a second license (assuming the Official Host Name remains the same). In this situation, it wouldn't matter if the OHN is the same -- that is only used by IMail.
