Correct. But:


so if I had "slug" as the whitelist word, the word sluggish in the headers or body wouldn't count.
Right?

If you had "WHITELIST BODY slug", then an E-mail with the word "sluggish" would get caught. No Declude functions attempt to parse an E-mail into words, so nothing in Declude (or IMail) will distinguish "Look at that slug!" from "He was acting sluggish".
