I have noticed over the past few days that spammers have been sending to random names on our domain using a automated process i.e. [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] This is usually sucessful with domains such as hotmail that have millions of address. This spammer tried hundreds of times before I discovered it. Once discovered, I blocked the IP address. My question is: Does anybody use an automated program that will detect this kind of activity and how are you dealing with it?
