Hello all, I am in a corporate environment and am running IMail 8.05, Declude JunkMail Standard, and Declude Virus Standard.
I am trying to setup a "private" domain for a group of my users. Basically I only want inbound/outbound mail to be delivered if it came from within the domain or from/to our main domain. I tried using inbound and outbound rules within IMail but the way I had it set up (where I would check for the valid domains in the from or to address) doesn't seem to allow bounce messages through (in the log the bounce message delivery comes back with status=2 which I believe means there was an error.) I'm sure it's just a misconfig on my part but I was wondering how others are doing this. Is it best to use delivery rules within IMail or should I try to do this filtering with Declude? I know if I use the from/to address to make the delivery decisions I will be opening myself up to allowing forged messages through which makes me think perhaps I should try to do this with Declude using SPF and some other tests? Any suggestions? As always, thanks for any advice you can give me.
